"... Come in from the dark. Our ultra-strength cream contains a multitude of active nutrients that reduce dark bags and puffiness from under tired eyes and lessen other signs of ageing. "

EyeLexin Dark Circle Reduction Cream effectively diminishes the appearance of under-eye circles and puffiness through its powerful, advanced formula.
Recent breakthroughs in cosmetic technology have led to the discovery of compounds that not only reduce the appearance of bags and puffiness under the eyes, but also work to prevent future occurrences. Many people suffer from under-eye circles and puffiness after acne, dark circles are the second most common dermatological complaint. EyeLexin Dark Circle Reduction Cream contains an abundance of high-quality ingredients, including Eyeliss, Haloxyl, Argireline, Matrixyl, Darutoside, Hyaluronic Acid, DMAE, and Vitamins A, C and E. These ingredients work to restore eyes to a youthful appearance and to enhance their natural beauty. Not only are these ingredients effective on their own, but they supply added benefits when used in conjunction with each other. The peptides in our product support collagen production, which is essential in diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of ageing. In addition, these peptides work with the other active ingredients to fade dark under-eye circles and keep them from re-forming. EyeLexin Dark Circle Reduction Cream also moisturises the skin, reduce blemishes and skin imperfections, and evens the skin tone. Remove puffiness and dark circles and years from your appearance with EyeLexin Dark Circle Reduction Cream by Pureclinica.
Even though stress and lack of sleep can contribute to under-eye circles, they are not the main cause. There are many causes of under-eye circles, including allergies, eczema, lifestyle factors (such as the use of tobacco, alcohol and caffeine), colds or sinus infections, overexposure to the sun, certain medications, lack of nutrients and aging. The most common cause of under-eye circles, however, is genetics. Dark circles often run in families. For example, when blood passes through the veins under the eyes where the skin is very thin, dark circles can appear. People who have more transparent skin, which is an inherited trait, will have circles that appear darker. In addition, people can inherit an excess amount of skin pigmentation under the eyes, which causes dark circles. Facial shape can also contribute to dark circles. People with a deep hollow in the inner corner of their eyes may have dark circles due to a shadow that is cast near the corner of their eyes. Dark under-eye circles cause you to look tired, even if you're not, and they can make you look older than you actually are. There are steps that can be taken to reduce the appearance of dark circles, including getting enough sleep, eating a healthy, balanced diet, avoiding rubbing or scratching the eyes, and eliminating allergens. In addition, topical creams that improve capillary strength and absorb and eliminate coloured blood pigments in the skin are beneficial in fighting under-eye circles.

Ingredients Information

Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-3)
Argireline is the trademark name of acetyl hexapeptide-3. It is a hexapeptide, a chain of six amino acids that are attached to the residue of acetic acid. When it is applied to the face, Argireline has an effect similar to Botox injections on the facial muscles. It works to relax muscles that cause lines and wrinkles to appear. It is believed that Argireline works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters released by the brain that tell these facial muscles to tense, which results in relaxed musculature and reduced wrinkles and lines. Argireline may be applied wherever lines and wrinkles appear.
Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3)
Matrixyl is the trademark name for palmitoyl pentapeptide-3. It is a lipopeptide, or a fatty acid mixed with amino acids. The active element in Matrixyl is called micro-collagen, which is another peptide. Matrixyl increases the rate of healing at the cellular level to improve the overall appearance of the skin. It also works to stimulate the matrix layers in the skin, primarily collagen and fibronectin. When these layers are stimulated, the skin produces more collagen, which serves to counteract the natural ageing process.
Darutoside - Siegesbeckia Orientalis
Darutoside is the name for the active ingredient obtained from Siegesbeckia orientalis, a natural herb whose extract has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory for rheumatic pains and as an emollient for repairing skin. It promotes wound healing and tissue renewal, decreases the appearance of scars, and restores elasticity to the skin. It works by regenerating tissue by building-up the collagen matrix.
Eyeliss - Hesperidin methyl chalcone  + dipeptide-2 + Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide
Eyeliss is a combination of three active ingredients: Hesperidin methyl chalcone, dipeptide-2, and palimtoyl tetrapeptide. Hesperidin methyl chalcone comes from the flavonoid hesperidin that is found in some citrus fruits. It works to improve lymphatic drainage and circulation, which in turn helps to tone the area under the eye. Dipeptide-2 is a peptide that helps to drain the fluid that gathers under the eyes and causes puffiness and bags. Palimitoyl tetrapeptide is also a peptide that decreases inflammation and reduces wrinkles, sagging, and uneven skin tone.
Haloxyl - Hydroxysuccinimide + Chrysin + Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (PAL-GHK) + Palmitoyl Tetrapeptite
Haloxyl combines several active ingredients and powerful peptides that work together to reduce eye puffiness by fostering proper circulation in the eye area. Two of its ingredients, chrysin and hydroxysuccinimide, help to absorb and eliminate coloured blood pigments in the skin, reducing the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. In addition, haloxyl serves as an anti-inflammatory and reinforces firmness in the eye area.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan that works as both an anti-inflammatory and an anti-edematous agent. It is part of the synovial fluid, and it is found in the vitreous humor, the synovia of joints, and in subcutaneous tissue. As a major component of the skin, hyaluronic acid is involved in tissue repair. When applied topically, hyaluronic acid is absorbed quickly, reducing the signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. It also nourishes the skin with moisture to help maintain its smoothness and elasticity.
DMAE  Dimethylaminoethanol
DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is an organic compound that is found naturally in fish such as salmon and sardines. It is also present in small amounts in the human brain, and it is vital for the brain's ability to carry out its tasks. Another benefit of DMAE is healthy skin. DMAE reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by promoting the production of acetylcholine, a chemical that is responsible for muscle tone. Improved facial muscle tone results in tighter, smoother skin.
Retinyl Palmitate - Vitamin A
Retinyl Palmitate is a form of Vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin that works an antioxidant, helping the body to fight off pollutants from the environment. It is also known as retinol because it produces the pigments in the retina. Vitamin A is important for immune system functions and works to fight infections. It helps maintain the healthy function of the reproductive organs and liver function. In addition, Vitamin A is necessary in forming and maintaining healthy teeth, tissues, mucous membranes, and skin. It is considered to be very effective in the treatment of aging skin.
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate - Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that also serves as an antioxidant, helping to prevent skin damage and wrinkles by fighting harmful free radicals. It is found in all fruits and vegetables, although the highest amounts are found in citrus fruits, green peppers, tomatoes, strawberries and leafy greens. Vitamin C is necessary for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. It is also needed to form collagen, and it is essential for the healing of wounds.
Tocopherol - Vitamin E
Tocopherol is a form of Vitamin E, which was identified almost 100 years ago as being an essential nutrient in the diet. It acts as a powerful antioxidant, protecting cells from damage caused by free radicals and various pollutants. In addition, clinical studies show that vitamin E may hinder the formation of abnormal cells. Vitamin E also works to protect against the oxidation of LDL (or bad cholesterol), thereby helping to maintain a healthy heart. It also works to prevent ageing of the skin. Vitamin E helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, keeping the skin more  youthful looking.

Gently apply twice daily to clean and dry skin, in a light, circular motion, until absorbed into the orbital eye area. Do not exceed three applications per 24-hour period.

Clinical Studies

There have been many clinical studies conducted on the many ingredients contained in EyeLexin Dark Circle Reduction Cream. These studies have focused on their abilities to reduce under-eye puffiness and dark circles, to diminish wrinkles and other visible signs of ageing, to lessen the appearance of stretch marks and scarring, and to improve the texture of the skin. The results of these studies show that EyeLexin Dark Circle Reduction Cream contains ingredients that effectively replenish skin and restore its healthy, youthful appearance.
In one study involving 22 female subjects, Haloxyl (just one of the active peptides in EyeLexin) was applied to the contour of one eye at a 2% concentration for 8 weeks. Results were assessed using image analysis and measurement of colour parameters. The findings demonstrated that over 60% of the participants showed improvement in dark under-eye circles.(1)
A study by Sederma (the manufacturer of the peptide Eyeliss) reported that subjects experienced a 70% reduction in eye puffiness and bag volume after treatment with Eyeliss. This was a clinical 3D morphometric study involving 20 participants with eye bags who ranged in age from 40 to 60 years. The subjects were treated with 3% Eyeliss cream twice daily for 56 days.(2)
Studies performed on volunteers for Lipotec, the manufacturer of Argireline, by the scientific laboratory Advancell support the biochemical theories of Argireline's wrinkle-reducing properties. The findings from Advancell suggest that Argireline reduces the depth of wrinkles by 16% after four weeks of treatment. Further tests showed a decrease in wrinkle depth of up to 27% after 30 days treatment.(3)
The results from three clinical studies have shown the clinical benefits of topical pal-KTTKS (Matrixyl) treatment in reducing wrinkles and in improving facial appearance. In the first study involving 60 female participants, the use of pal-KTTKS resulted in significant improvements in surface roughness, wrinkle volume and wrinkle depth at both 2- and 4-months.(4) In two other studies involving 132 subjects, topical pal-KTTKS significantly reduced fine lines and wrinkles and improved their appearance.(5,6)
